Description
Ethical hand forged recycled Swirling sterling silver encasing an Amethyst by Amphigory. Has been fabricated by hand using traditional metalsmithing techniques.
Starting by smelting down the sterling silver into an ingot then forming and hammering to create the band, sawing , filling, polishing then giving a light aging patina to accentuate the texture before giving it is final polishing and clean.
Perfect for any occasion.
Inspiration
Purple is amongst my most favourite colours ( after green) so, my natural leaning towards amethyst is pretty strong and I get a bit giddy with all the purply shades this beautiful stone can be found in – largely depending upon the region it was mined. Oh but what a history!
Did you know… many many moons ago, it was said to prevent the wearer from becoming excessively drunk ~ hmm, I don’t drink but you’re free to try the theory out and let me know. ?!
